You want to let it heal as quietly and unassisted as possible.

What does this mean? It doesn’t matter if you’re washing your face in the tub, a bath, or at the sink, make sure it is clean.

  • It is important to limit the intake of water during the procedure.
  • Instead of rubbing or scrubbing your skin, just gently pat it dry and give it a good scrub.
  • Use a small amount of Aquaphor, or the recommended cream, on a clean qtip. Then remove any excess using the dry side.

Eyebrows

Eyebrows can be one of the most difficult areas to heal. It is important to make an effort to let them go.

You will see light spots when you scratch the scabs and dry flaky skin. This can cause them to fall off too quickly, bringing color with them.

For the best results, encourage the scabs not to come off for as long as possible.

It is very important to keep them moisturized with Aquaphor or the recommended product from your technician during healing.

You don’t want to make your eyebrows look greasy, wet, or shiny. They should be able breathe, but moisturizers can help keep them comfortable.

Eyeliner

Eyeliner permanent cosmetics can heal quite well, it is surprising.

We are naturally gentle with our eyes so it is easy to not disturb them.

It is difficult to go without mascara or eyeshadow for the first few working days.

You may experience some swelling, especially in the morning. However, once you are up, move around and apply a cold compress frequently for a few moments. This will reduce the swelling.

Some people might experience some reddening or bruising around the upper eyelids. This usually subsides within a few days.

Oily eyelids are a sign of oil production. Many clients don’t use any ointment, if any.

Your eyelashes could be affected by the scabbing as the skin begins to peel away. As long as the scabs are not attached to the skin, it is okay to carefully remove them. These scabs can look like clumpy mascara.

Lips

Lips are a dry, stretchy, and un-oiled muscle that requires a lot of cutting and peeling in the first three to four days.

You should keep your lips hydrated with a moisturizing balm like Vaseline, Burt’s Bees, or Vaseline.

It’s not unusual for lips to swell.

This is a great option for clients with naturally thin lips. However, it can be a bit annoying for clients with thick lips. Clients with fuller lips feel more “lippy”.

Lips are often too dark or bright at first, but then appear to disappear after a few days. Then the color returns.

You may notice some dryness or tightness in the next month. It is important to moisturize your lips and keep them healthy. If you have ever suffered from a cold sore, fever blister, or any other symptoms, you should get a prescription from a doctor or dentist to prevent another outbreak.

Valtrex, or generic Acyclovir, is generally recommended. You should make sure that it’s in your system at least two to three days prior to your appointment.

It’s crucial to have the information in your system at least four days before your appointment.

Although it won’t cause an outbreak, this procedure will activate the virus in your body. You can get a prescription as long as you have it.

You will experience an outbreak, scarring, and loss of color if you do not take this medication.
